Happy Holiday Season!

We wish to you all Ulteo users a Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year 2008! The past weeks have been awesome and very busy for the Ulteo team, and you have been very helpful with your various feedback about using OpenOffice.org in the Ulteo Online Desktop. In the end, we have learned a lot, and as you may have noticed, the session process has been consolidated a lot. Now we have to add new fileservers and make our infrastructure bigger, because we have finally opened many more accounts than expected. Then, next step is going to offer a still more simple way to access OpenOffice.org and others apps. We’ll keep you updated!

    Hi, everyone…

While I haven’t looked around enough to really know, is there someplace that I could go to find help w/ Ulteo’s Writer? I love what is going on, but I can’t seem to save a file anywhere that makes sense; that is, the application tells me that the path is unknown. And, while it seems that I have created a path to my PC’s desktop, I can’t seem to make that work, either.

Best of luck in the New Year,

    R.

i wish you all a merry christmas and lots of good times in our new year!

i find your condesk very interesting and hope you can continue your very impressive and good work!

your solution for using my own printer and your condesk-openoffice-suite via pdf-download is excellent! :-)

there is one wish: netbeans and java.

i thought, that it would be excellent for condesk to offer some programs, that are not easily around at our own local pcs: 3d-modelling, audio-/video-arranging, making flash-videos…

    greetings

I thought I had submitted a message on the 24th but I guess I forgot to click submit.
Anyway, merry (late) Christmas and enjoy the new year!

@ Casp: You first need to save the file on your own home folder in the web account. For example, my username is DualCortex, therefore I save my files under /home/DualCortex. It should work fine. Then, after you save it to your WEB account, you use the “Transfer Files” utility, which you can access at the top of the ConDesk(/ConOOo?)’s window, by right clicking on the file and selecting “Download.”
After that you do whatever you like with the file.

    4 Steps:
    Do
    Save
    Transfer
    Print/Save …

ConDesk has already simplified my life bit. I had an .odt file which I needed to view at a school computer. Didn’t take me more than 2 mins to solve the problem ;)

Why I can´t see an apps when it is minimized?
I neither can see the “Start” button on my ulteo desktop.
Thanks for that good application. By the way, will you keep the service - or some lilttle version- free?

Dag, please contact me at gduval at ulteo dot com so we can figure out a little more about the issue you have…

Thanks for the desktop! One problem, though, is that I can’t seem to upload any files, it says my session’s invalid. Plus, it would be nice to have a terminal available for more advanced users, but there’s no Konsole (or XTerm or RXVT) and I can’t switch TTYs. Thanks for this huge leap forwards in technology anyways…
